Specially Gifted Golf Tournament 2025: Driving Change, One Swing at a Time

As the leaves began to turn and fall arrived in Georgia, the Specially Gifted Foundation community gathered once again for one of our favorite traditions—the Fourth Annual Specially Gifted Golf Tournament, presented by Amwins.

Held on October 13, 2025, at the beautiful Horseshoe Bend Country Club in Roswell, GA, the day was everything we hoped it would be—filled with sunshine (thank goodness!), laughter, and generosity. Golfers teed off for a cause close to our hearts: supporting families raising children with disabilities through meaningful gifts, resources, and a sense of belonging.

A Day of Purpose and Connection

What started just four years ago as a small idea has now become one of SGF’s cornerstone events—bringing together individuals, teams, and businesses united by a shared mission to make a difference.

With a sold-out field of golfers, incredible sponsors, and dedicated volunteers, this year’s tournament raised an amazing $53,000 to support SGF’s programs and gifting efforts. Every swing, raffle ticket, and smile helped create a ripple effect of impact that will touch families across Georgia and beyond.

We’re especially thankful for our presenting sponsor, Amwins, and the continued leadership of SGF board member Andrew Lanham, whose dedication has helped grow this tournament year after year. Andrew not only champions SGF’s mission within his own company but also brings invaluable insight from his experience participating in other corporate golf tournaments—helping us elevate ours into one of the most anticipated charity events of the season.

The atmosphere was electric from the first drive to the final putt. Players enjoyed breakfast courtesy of Chick-fil-A, complimentary drinks throughout the course, and a post-play lunch and awards celebration filled with laughter and camaraderie.

Celebrating Friendly Competition

The Putting Contest was once again a fan favorite—filled with friendly rivalry and plenty of cheers. The winner took home a free foursome at Horseshoe Bend Country Club, valued at $700, ensuring the competition will be just as fierce next year.

Our 50/50 raffle hit an exciting $5,000 total, and the Ladies Raffle Bundle—featuring donations from OVME Medical Aesthetics, Cheeky Chic Spray Tans, and several local favorites—was another highlight that brought smiles all around.

When it came time to announce the winning golf team, the room buzzed with anticipation. The champions took home SGF Championship Belts, pro shop gift cards, and, of course, the bragging rights that will last until next October.

Introducing Petals & Purpose

This year, we were thrilled to add a new experience to the day: Petals & Purpose, a women’s event designed for those who wanted to be part of the celebration in a more relaxed, social way.

Guests enjoyed a morning of fellowship and creativity, with a delicious brunch catered by Chicken Salad Chick, a build-your-own bouquet bar sponsored by Trader Joe’s, and gifts from our friends at Spray Studio.

More than just a brunch, Petals & Purpose embodied what SGF stands for—connection, compassion, and community. It offered a new way for women to get involved, give back, and celebrate the impact being made together.

Beyond the Course: The Heart of SGF

Events like our annual golf tournament are how we continue to grow our mission—enriching the lives of families raising children with disabilities through special gifts up to $5,000, access to beneficial resources, and a genuine sense of community.

This year’s proceeds will go directly toward changing lives—providing adaptive equipment, therapy tools, and experiences that remind each child they are valued, capable, and not alone.

Every dollar raised brings us closer to our annual goal of serving ten new Gifted Families while continuing to support the families already part of our SGF community. Together, these moments—big and small—create a network of hope, resilience, and joy that defines what it means to be Specially Gifted.

A Grateful Heart

To our presenting sponsor Amwins, our incredible host Horseshoe Bend Country Club, and every golfer, volunteer, and supporter—thank you. Your commitment makes this event possible year after year and allows us to continue showing up for the families who need it most.

A special thank-you also goes to Brittany Sloan, our talented photographer and videographer, who captured the heart of the day so beautifully.

We love seeing your memories and moments from the day—feel free to share your photos and tag us on social media (@SpeciallyGiftedFoundation) so we can celebrate alongside you! Be sure to share this recap with your colleagues and friends who joined us; together, we’re spreading the mission even further.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on another successful tournament, we’re already looking forward to what’s ahead. The Fifth Annual Specially Gifted Golf Tournament promises to be our biggest and best yet—and we can’t wait to welcome back our amazing community of golfers, sponsors, and friends.

Together, we are building something truly special. Thank you for being part of it.
