Kendall’s 5 Favorite Children’s Books

Welcome back to Kendall’s Library!

We hope you have been enjoying our posts about our favorite children’s books! Check out last month’s if you are new here, Kendall’s 5 Favorite Children’s Books Kendall’s 5 Favorite Children’s Books – August! Kendall has many more books to share so let’s get started!

Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party by James Dean

Pete the Cat is back again! One of Kendall’s favorite characters is Pete the Cat, and the Perfect Pizza Party is as entertaining as all the other shenanigan books about Pete. In this story, Pete the Cat wants to make a pepperoni pizza. His friends show up and they decide to add their own toppings! How does it turn out?! Check it out to see!

Pout Pout Fish, by Deborah Diesen

This is an all time favorite! It is a board book great for independent page turning! Kendall loves hearing this fish with a pout slumming to his friends! Meanwhile, the fish are all trying to turn that frown upside down! Seems glum glum glum, but I promise this rhyming book will light your littles up!

Belly Button Book by Sandra Boynton

Read this cute board book by the great Sandra Boykin to help your kiddos identify their bellybutton! Follow the hippos around as they obsessed over their “bee bos,” and love showing them off! Kendall thinks it is silly to poke her bellybutton every time you say it!!

The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson

This is a cute story about a smart animal that makes up a big scary forest monster to avoid being eaten! Kendall and I love to read this silly rhyming book in silly voices. If you want a book that sparks their imagination, this one is for you!

Tickle Monster – Josie Bissett/Kevan J. Atteberry

This book could be read all day, everyday and Kendall would never be over it. We mentioned this book back in July and we are mentioning it again – it’s that good! When given the choice between the Tickle Monster and any other book, Tickle Monster wins every single time! It has everything Miss Kendall loves. It rhymes, it is the “silliest, zaniest” story, and she absolutely loves to be tickled! Add a crazy accent and get your tickle fingers ready when you read this to your little ones. Five stars – 10/10 from KK!
