On December 5th, 2020, we had the pleasure of hosting the First Annual Specially Gifted Gala at the Ann Jackson Gallery in Roswell, GA. Each annual gala will have a unique theme, beginning with our 2020 gala theme being masquerade (2020… masks… masquerade… see what we did there?). It was such a pleasure working with several businesses in the Roswell area to put this together, and what a fun event it turned out to be! Featuring delicious food from 1920, amazing music by the Wet Jeans Band, divine signature cocktails, killer raffle prizes, a Best Mask contest, oh, and we can’t forget to mention the LIVE VINETIAN STATUES. A few guests may have had a good fright when they noticed the statues were moving, but it was all in good fun!
Joking aside… Macey and I started Specially Gifted Foundation in January of 2020. Little did we know that a global pandemic was about to ensue, but looking back we wouldn’t do it differently. The world can always use the light of people giving back and helping others, but that light is especially important during the darker times. We are honored to have had the opportunity to gift sixteen families in 2020 despite the fact that it was our founding year that also happened to be in the middle of a pandemic. This could not have been accomplished without the support of our amazing (and constantly growing) SGF community. With the help of our partners, we look forward to positively impacting the lives of many more families in the years to come.
Specially gifted gala presenting sponsor:
We would like to thank everyone who attended our First Annual Gala, the individuals and businesses who partnered with us to make the event possible, our volunteers, and everyone else who supported our event monetarily or otherwise. We want to give a special thanks to our event sponsors, particularly our presenting sponsor, AmWINS Group, Inc.
The First Annual Specially Gifted Gala turned out to be an awesome night of fun with our SGF partners, raising money and awareness to benefit the deserving families we serve… we couldn’t have asked for more! We are already brainstorming for 2021’s theme, let’s see how creative we can get (we are definitely open to suggestions, so hit us up if you happen to have a list of awesome gala theme ideas lying around, thanks). We may not have a date yet, but go ahead and plan to come to our Second Annual Specially Gifted Gala. You won’t want to miss it and we would absolutely love to see you there!
thank you to everyone involved:
