Trick or Treat for Our Friends with Special Needs

October 26, 2024

Rome, Georgia

The Sweet Cocoon is inviting all special needs friends and their families to come enjoy their annual Halloween event.  The event is free for all families.  SGF is honored to have been a part of this annual event since the beginning in 2022 and we love returning each year.

Our team met with Amanda, the owner and founder of The Sweet Cocoon, after attending one of our SGF’s kiddo’s birthday parties at this venue a few years ago to discuss how we can partner together to better serve our community.  We were all in agreement that our special community needed a space to enjoy Halloween festivities like everyone else, but in a way that accommodated their needs.

We encourage families to join us as we celebrate Halloween in this extra special way.  There will be many activities taking place, such as trick or treating, a Halloween costume prize for Best Costume, face painting, marshmallow roasting, craft table, games, candy, sensory trick or treat items, and much more!  Vamos Tacos and Sweet Frog will also be there.

Alternatives to Halloween Costumes

We understand that not all kiddos enjoy Halloween costumes for many different reasons.  SGF is happy to share a small business in Calhoun, Georgia that is also a supporter of our mission.  Reyes Brigade is a family and veteran owned business that specializes in custom t-shirts, transfer prints, and more.   They are eager to help families celebrate Halloween (and other special occasions) in a special way with custom designs for the whole family.

BONUS: Reyes Brigade is offering our SGF Community a special promo code for 15% off Halloween themed designs!!  When placing your order, use the code below and 15% will be discounted from your total order.  If you place an order in-person or through social media, just mention this SGF blog and they will apply the 15% discount.

Promo Code: SGFRB

They offer worldwide shipping and local pick-up options.

Have a Happy Fall, Y’all!

With the change in weather already settling in, we are excited to embrace the fall-festival season, and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to do the same.  SGF’s hope is that you are able to find the time to make lasting memories with your loved ones while exploring all that Georgia has to offer during the fall months.

Don’t forget, we love seeing photos of families from our communities!  If you post any photos from these events on social media, add our hashtag #FallforSGF so we can celebrate these memories with you!
