The second annual Spring in the Valley Festival is officially upon us; we are only days away from welcoming you all to enjoy the wonderful festivities we have planned. This event was created to provide fun and entertainment for the whole family, and this year we have incorporated even more inclusive activities to build upon this foundation. Of course, none of this would be possible without our generous supporters. Whether you are a sponsor, vendor, donor, or volunteer, your contribution is greatly appreciated. We are blessed to share Specially Gifted Foundation and our mission with each and every one of you.
Without further ado, let’s find out everything we have in store for Spring in the Valley 2022!
Spring in the Valley Car & Bike Show
Specially Gifted Foundation is blessed to have wonderful sponsors, such as Automax of Rome, Georgia. Blake Salvy, owner, has partnered with us once again; this time it is to bring a Car and Bike Show to Spring in the Valley Festival!! Who doesn’t enjoy a good car and bike show?!
The categories to be judged include the following: best rat rod, cleanest ride, oldest ride, best all original car, best overall truck, best overall car, highest lifted truck, lowest sitting ride, crowd favorite, nicest bike, and best in show.
Do you think your special ride is trophy worthy? Register now, show up, and show out! We cannot wait to see all of your cars, bikes, and trucks this Saturday!
Whether you are a participant, or an observer, grab a cold one and enjoy the show!
Spring in the valley’s return will feature…
Have you ever heard of Brahman Cattle? Let me tell you, they are beautiful! They are also going to be at Spring in the Valley! The Eastern Brahman Breeders Association (EBBA) initially planned to host the EBBA EXTRAVAGANZA elsewhere, but due to circumstances they had to make other arrangements; this is where we came in! When EBBA President Cyana Briles pitched the idea to SGF, we learned that one of their largest benefactors is The Brahman Foundation (TBF). Cyana went on to tell us that TBF was founded specifically because of a young lady, Megan Lambert, with Down syndrome to benefit all youth in an inclusive environment; she is even part of their logo. This made our partnership even more special because we love working with other nonprofits that are supported by, and that support organizations such as TBF.
Although these two events are separate, SIV ticket holders will have an opportunity to access this ABBA (American Brahman Breeders Association) sanctioned open show. Find out more about EBBA and this partnership in our blog!
festivities for the kiddos
We cannot wait to see all of the kids’ faces this year (painted, of course)! If your kiddo missed our first annual Spring in the Valley Festival, don’t worry; they will get to experience the same fun activities (and more) this year. Camelot Farms is back with their exotic petting zoo, Deb’s Dreamy Designs will be bringing the kids imaginations to life in the form of face painting, and of course, they can jump to their heart’s content on the bounce house.
As you can see, last year’s event featured several kid-friendly activities. This year’s focus was to expand the entertainment selection to better serve ALL of our beloved kiddos. Our SGF team came up with some wonderful ideas, resulting in our very own SGF Kids Game Booth!
Do you remember the GIANT parachute in elementary school? We have one of those!! Who likes bowling? I know I do! What about acrylic painting?! All of these FUN activities will be at our SGF Game Booth along with a ring toss, a bubble machine, sidewalk chalk, and more!
how our SGF kiddos contribute to siv
Did you see last year’s event t-shirt? It was designed by our very own SGF kiddo Jaxon; he did a wonderful job, if I do say so myself. The artist behind this year’s event t-shirt is none other than Miss Jaley! Jaley and her family were gifted in 2021, thanks to Spring in the Valley! We love having our SGF families and kiddos get involved in our events! Check out her creation below.
Spring in the Valley is for adults too!
When we say “family festival”, that includes the adults. Adulting isn’t always fun; but at Spring in the Valley, we make it FUN! Close your eyes and picture this… the kids are playing, you are enjoying live music while playing cornhole with some friendly folks. Next, you decide to check out the local vendors and do some shopping; this works up an appetite for tacos! After tacos, it’s only natural that you grab a cold one and waltz on over to the Car and Bike Show to check out the sweet rides. Speaking of sweet, if you have a sweet tooth then we’ve got you covered!
Now open your eyes and let your family know that you all have plans for May 14th!
Did you know siv has it’s own website now?
When I tell you that our SGF team is full of hardworking, dedicated, and passionate individuals, I mean it. Amidst all the planning and organizing to pull this event together, somehow our co-founder, Macey Price, found time to create a website for Spring in the Valley Festival! Let me just tell you, she did a phenomenal job, too! This new website is a dedication to this event and to everyone that contributes to its success; it will also make it easier for everyone to purchase tickets next year. Check out Spring in the Valley’s NEW website and don’t forget to bookmark it!
We still can’t believe Spring in the Valley is finally here!
