Parker was born at 28 weeks after his mom’s water broke 7 weeks prior at 21 weeks. When he was only 6 days old, he experienced a very significant brain bleed that lead to some life decisions for him! His family’s prayer was that he be happy in life, however, that may look, and the Lord answered their prayer with abundance as Parker is such a happy child with a precious personality and full of love for EVERYONE. Parker will be turning 8 years old and entering the 2nd grade in August and throughout these 7+ years, his family has been so proud of him for always having such an incredible attitude as he never lets his Cerebral Palsy diagnosis slow him down. Parker has had many surgeries repairing his VP shunt that is required for his hydrocephalus. Parker is mobile, however does not walk on his own yet and uses his wheelchair to have more independence. 
Parker’s family has experienced and understand the mental, physical, and emotional challenges of being a special needs family, however one thing stands and allows them to be positive along this journey….their faith in God. They trust that He is always a step ahead of them and preparing their paths. Parker has an INCREDIBLE big brother, Carter, who is 13 and approaching the 8th grade. He has always been there for Parker to encourage him in his therapies and even helps him at home do therapy as well. Parker and his loved ones are so excited to be part of the SGF family and very thankful for the blessing of SGF!
